The new crib was commissioned in 2006 by St Martin-in-the-Fields providing a significant new public art work embodies characters representing different ethnicities - Middle eastern, Caucasian, African and Asian. The 11 painted lime wood carving are 40% life-size and were a collaboration with fashion designer Jessica Ogden who created timeless silk costumes for each of the characters.
