The East Pier is resplendent with amusement rides and attractions that populate its long structure, jutting out into the calm English Channel beyond which is the French coast further south. According to British legal requirements, schoolchildren on away day visits must have accompanying adults with a ratio of 1:xx though it appears this group's quota is less with two teachers per 28 boys.
