Bravely returning to office desks they find their city skyline missing the Twin Towers with Manhattan still in a state of perpetual shock and still under a mist of smoke from the debris at Ground Zero. To celebrate the return to commercial near-normality, New Yorkers' spirit was proved intact by the hanging of US flags from buildings.
