Pedstrians on Moor Lane and Willoughby Highwalk and concrete architecture of the Grade II-listed Barbican Estate development in the City of London, on 8th April 2025, in London, England. Replacing the heavily bombed Cripplegate part of the City during the Blitz in WW2, construction for the Barbican Estate started in 1965 and took 11 years to complete. The complex was designed by architects Chamberlin, Powell and Bon and today the 40-acre Estate is home to more than 4,000 residents, living in over 2,014 flats.
