A taxi driver smokes a cigarette while waitng for his next fare at Temple Meads Station in Bristol city centre, on 23rd February 1990, in Bristol, England. A 'taxi war' erupted among cab companies vying for control of the taxi business in the Bristol area. Acts of violence between firms have been reported including direct attacks on drivers and vandalism to vehicles.
