South London Housing Gentrification

Southwark say they're building more than 4,200 new homes on the Aylesbury estate. This includes more than 1,600 homes for social rent; 581 of which will be new council homes. Many residents have however been against being moved out for the gentrification of the area. Complaints about poor maintenance and security, they still felt that these issues could be addressed by refurbishment and greater investment.
