Despite the government's £1.15bn financial rescue package for the Arts industry and cultural organisations in England , made up of £880m in grants and £270m of repayable loans, London's theatre industry has been hit hard by the pandemic, being closed since the March lockdown closures which has affected 137,250 Arts industry jobs, worth £21.2bn in direct turnover.
