Fiftieth Anniversary Of VE Day

Veterans from many armed services walk from St Paul's cathedral after a service of thanksgiving to celebrate the 50th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day, on 8th May 1995, in London, England. VE Day occurred on 8th May, 1945 when the World War II Allies formally accepted the unconditional surrender of the armed forces of Germany and peace was announced to tumultuous crowds across European cities.
