We see here anthropomorphic disturbances in the landscape, the longstanding detritus of industrial products or the traces of fleeting human visits that bother and disturb otherwise ancient, pleasant pastures.
Unlike our ancient footpaths that however remain ever-present and useful, whose footfall of past soles and souls have long become invisible, the lanes and hills, the fields and throughways often possess unwelcoming, unnatural anachronimsms which in this work, appears foremost.
In what feels like an extension, a second limb, from the work I made in the 'A Fortunate Woman' book, it satisfies an empathy for dysfunctional, documentary landscape.
